EPS has worked with manufacturers across the Ad Specialty industry to create memorable product-marking solutions. Whether your product has complex shapes or requires vivid colors, short runs, or variable data, we can help you take your branding to the next level. To do this, we offer two basic technologies, pad printing and industrial inkjet printing.
The versatility and adaptability of pad printing is a cost-effective method of product-marking for injection molders and contract manufacturers in the Ad Specialty or Promotional Products industry. With pad printing, it is a direct-to-substrate technique—which means no labels to position, no backing to throw away. Pad printing offers flexibility when decorating uneven and curved surfaces, unlike screen printing – the pad can mold itself around the substrate. The minimal amount of ink required in the pad printing process allows for extremely fine and precise images, making it ideal for industrial uses, product marking and decorating.
Servo-driven pad printers can be added to existing production lines as a printing cell capable of 3,000 cycles per hour.
With the advent of UV-LED cured inks, industrial inkjet is emerging as the growth sector in product-marking technologies. The biggest single advantage of digital over analog is the ability to print on demand with minimal set up and tooling cost. This single feature will allow digital to continue its strong growth in direct to plastic object printing.
Digital printing means 1) quicker time to market 2) Shortened development times for new products 3) Lowered inventories 4) ability to create late-stage differentiation within the production cycle. These are only some of the advantages that digital has over analog but these are some of the reasons that digital will eventually find its way into all manufacturing sectors and find a place together with analog systems to boost efficiencies especially when shorter run customization becomes a part of every manufacturers offerings to meet customers’ demands.
High speed industrial inkjet printers are excellent for flat to semi-flat materials. We have several options and custom solutions available.
fJET24 Industrial Inkjet Printer – Multicolor flatbed UV-LED printer has a maximum print area of 20″ x 24″. Prints CMYK +W images up to 1200 x 1200 dpi.
